Brazilian metalheads band together for Haiti

Some of southern Brazil's prominent metal musicians have teamed up to raise money for communities affected by the earthquake and cholera outbreak in Haiti.

Metal For Haiti is a project created by Brazilian metalheads in an effort to raise funds for the reconstruction of Haiti. Renato Osorio (Magician, Scelerata) and Tiago Masseti (Daydream XI) head up the project and features over eleven musicians.

Originally, the idea to write a song and gather a large group of musicians emerged, involving various bands from the south of Brazil, to record for a good cause and help people through heavy metal music.

The will to help Haiti gave birth to Don't Lose Hope, a single now available for streaming on MySpace. Metal fans willing to to help can buy the single on iTunes and Amazon with all proceeds going toward Haiti reconstruction and assistance foundations.
