Caulfield announce new album for release 7 August

February and March 2015 saw Caulfield taking time away from the live circuit, allowing them to return to the studio to write and record their sophomore album Outcast, which they felt really captured their aggressive and melodic musical approach.

Since Caulfield’s inception in 2010, the Sydney-based five-piece band refused to hesitate hitting the road. Winning fans across Australia many times over with their intensely energised live performances, and a unique, hard-hitting melodic style of music that has gained them a very loyal, ever-growing following.

In the band’s short career, they had been selected to support many established artists such as Parkway Drive, Silverstein (CAN), Texas in July (USA), Demon Hunter (USA), Vanna (USA), Attila (USA), First Blood (USA), Confession, Buried In Verona, Northlane, Hands Like Houses, Iwrestledabearonce (USA), Misery Signals (USA), Heights (UK), House Vs Hurricane, Dream On Dreamer, I Killed The Prom Queen and many more.

Whilst the band’s first EP release Clarity in a Sea of Confusion firmly cemented their fan base, Caulfield took to the studio in 2012 to further expand on what they had created, channelling their hard work and energy into their debut album Vanity. The band premiered their first single Sweet Defeat on Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud program, and later released Vanity in November 2013. The album received a positive response, and through their high number of sales found themselves taking out number one spot on the iTunes Metal Charts.

The release of Vanity saw media coverage lift significantly, and the band were fortunate enough to have singles Sour Grapes, Sweet Defeat and A Letter To Myself featuring regularly on Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud program. Caulfield had also achieved a wider audience with play on community radio with AirIt reporting them as the most ordered artist in November 2013.

In March 2014 – the band underwent line-up changes – and without slowing down, a rejuvenated Caulfield announced an official exclusive partnership with ESP Guitars and joined Iwrestledabearonce (USA) for their Australian national tour. After completing this tour, The band regrouped and found themselves back in the studio to create the single Smoke and Mirrors which premiered on Triple J’s Short.Fast.Loud. in September 2014, showcasing the band’s new heavier sound which received an overwhelmingly positive response through social media and within the bands live set, which accompanied them back out on the road in support of Heights (UK) farewell tour.
