Sonic Forge: This Year's Lineup Announced!

The biggest and best lineup yet...

Now in its 3rd year, Sonic Forge has quickly stamped itself as the premier Australian metal festival in the country. Drawing crowds of up to 1000 people each year it features the best Australian metal has to offer with 30 bands performing across 3 stages in what is simply a must see event for any metal fan.

That statement was also true last year, but this year Welkin Entertainment have taken things to a whole nother level. Sonic Forge 2013 sees the return of one of the countries biggest pulling metal bands Ne Obliviscaris and combines them with New Zealand extreme metal heavyweights Ulcerate, one of Australia’s best extreme metal acts The Amenta, the countries most talked about new metal band King Parrot, black metal stalwarts Ruins, progressive metallers Hypno5e (all the way from France) and that’s only touching the surface of this epic line-up!

Add in bands such as Dreadnaught, Caligula’s Horse, Orpheus Omega, Truth Corroded & many many more and you have what is arguably the biggest Australian metal line-up assembled since Metal for the Brain finished up in 2006.

As well as being about the great bands and music however, Sonic Forge is also a charity event, with profits from this event donated each year to the ‘Center Of Hope, Haiti’, an orphanage and school dedicated to helping children in Hinche, Haiti, one of the world’s poorest countries. Previous Sonic Forge events have contributed significantly to their cause and we look forward to making this years event the biggest yet so that we can contribute another sizeable donation to this worthy cause.
