The Red Shore sign to Roadrunner Records AU

The beleaguered Australian technical death metal band ink a deal with the Australian arm of the metal superlabel.

Australia's The Red Shore have signed a new deal with the Australian arm of Roadrunner Records, hot from the release of their new record.

Their new album entitled Unconsecrated was recorded under tragic circumstances after the loss of original vocalist Damien Morris and crew member Andy Milner in a tour bus accident in late 2007, however the band were able to regroup and complete Damien’s vision for the album.

Bassist Jamie Hope took over vocal duties on the remaining tracks and also completed lyrics to bring to life the theme that Damien had started. The band toured nationwide in support of Unconsecrated with Bring Me the Horizon and I Killed the Prom Queen and solidified their position among Australia’s most prominent metal and hardcore bands.

Their current line up comprises Roman Koester (guitar), Jon Green (bass), Jason Leombruni (guitar), Tim Shearman (drums) and new vocalist Chase Butler.

The band will play their final two shows for 2009 this weekend (Dec 11-12th) at the Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne, Australia.
