Stryper is recognized as the first openly Christian heavy metal band to gain recognition in the mainstream music world. Their message of salvation has also made them popular with some elements of the media during the 1980s. Reformed, and touring on the strength of their recent relase "Murder by Pride", Stryper performed to a packed house at Brisbane's HiFi Bar, supported by Sydney band Devine Electric.
Just Say Rock Productions advises that Stryper's 25th Year Anniversary tour of Australia scheduled for early April 2010 has been moved to August 2010. The band will be making an official announcement in due course.
Grab your hairspray and your spandex pants as Christian Rockers Stryper put down their bibles and pick up their instruments to serve up one hell (oops) heck of an album. The 80s are back and they never sounded so heavenly.

The first thing you have to do when listening to Stryper is admit that you’re prejudiced.
